Exemption for mobility-impaired drivers

Here you will find information about registration for exemption for mobility-impaired drivers.

Requirements for being able to apply for an exemption:

  • The exemption requires that the vehicle already has a valid AutoPASS agreement.
  • The HC card must be registered in the same name as the AutoPASS agreement and be valid for a minimum of 2 years from the date of issue.

Where does the exemption apply:

Ferde AS operates toll projects in the counties of Vestland, Rogaland and Agder. As of today, you are entitled to exemption for passages in the following toll projects in this region; Førdepakken, Nordhordlandspakken, Bergen, Askøypakken, Haugalandspakken, Nord-Jæren and Kristiansand.

Who can apply for an exemption:

As the owner of a parking permit for people with reduced mobility (HC card), you can apply for an exemption through toll rings in Norway if your parking permit has been issued with a validity of at least two years.

To be able to apply for an exemption, you must have a valid AutoPASS agreement and tag registered on the car. If you do not have an AutoPASS agreement and tag, this can be ordered from the pages belonging to AutoPASS: https://www.autopass.no/en/user/get-a-tag-and-agreement/

The name of the parking permit and the AutoPASS agreement must match. If the owner of the parking permit is under 18 years of age, the AutoPASS agreement must be registered with a parent or guardian.

The exemption is connected to one tag in one vehicle. Parents with children with reduced mobility (under the age of 18), where the child has a parking permit, can apply for an exemption for up to two tags, for two vehicles. In the application, you must attach a power of attorney or confirmation of parental responsibility (for children under 18).

How to apply for exemption:

1. Fill out the contact form below and include the following information Registration number of the vehicle, tag number, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth.

2. Attach the following documentation:
a) Copy / photo of both front and back of the parking permit

You can take a picture with your smartphone
b) Copy of valid AutoPass agreement confirmation from your tag issuer
You can ask your tag issuer for a copy of the agreement dodument. You can find the contact information on the AutoPASS webpages: https://www.autopass.no/en/user/contact-a-toll-service-provider/
c) Copy of decision letter from the municipality.
d) Confirmation of parental responsibility
If you are applying on behalf of children under the age of 18 you have to confirm your parental responsibility. e) Power of attorney
If you apply on behalf of others you have do document that you have a power of attorney.

NB! The application cannot be processed until we have received all the necessary documentation.

Passes made before all documentation is available will be invoiced and must be paid in full.

Cases where your exemption is invalid

  • If you terminate the AutoPASS agreement
  • If your AutoPASS agreement is terminated or no longer active
  • If the validity of the parking permit expires (HC card)
  • If you replace the AutoPASS tag without re-applying for an exemption
